Steve Williams – President
Steve is a leading advocate for leveraging business intelligence to drive profits and business results. His consulting experience includes working with leading companies and government agencies to solve business challenges in areas such as:
During his career in industry, Steve has held positions in general management, program management, operations, business development, financial management, systems engineering, cost analysis and reporting, marketing, human resources, and administration. In total, Steve brings over 27 years of consulting and industry experience to DecisionPath's clients. Within the business intelligence (BI) industry, Steve has demonstrated thought leadership in developing new business-driven methods and showing how to apply them in complex business situations. Since founding DecisionPath in 1999, Steve and his DecisionPath colleagues have shown clients how to connect their BI/DW initiatives to vital strategic goals and core business processes, so that BI investments deliver concrete business results. He is a co-developer of the BI Pathway method and a judge for the yearly Best Practices competition sponsored by The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI), the BI industry's premier educational organization. Steve has written for many different business journals and magazines, including Strategic Finance, Business Trends Quarterly, Business Intelligence Journal, and DM Review. With Nancy Williams, he is co-author of The Profit Impact of Business Intelligence (Elsevier/Morgan Kaufman Publishing, 2006). He has an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Maryland.

During her career in industry, Nancy has held positions in productivity management, program management, operations, business development, marketing, and systems analysis. In total, Nancy brings over 23 years of consulting and industry experience to DecisionPath's clients. Within the BI industry, Nancy is a leader in developing new methods and showing how to apply them in complex business situations. She is in demand as a speaker at business intelligence conferences and is a regular instructor for various BI and data warehousing courses for TDWI. She is a co-developer (with Jim Thomann and Steve Williams) of the BI Pathway Method. Nancy is also a judge for TDWI Best Practices competitions. Nancy has written for many different business journals and magazines, including Business Intelligence Journal, DM Review and Business Trends Quarterly. With Steve Williams, she is co-author of The Profit Impact of Business Intelligence (Elsevier/Morgan Kaufman Publishing, 2006). Bill Collins Director of Business Solutions Bill is an expert at applying operations management principles and business intelligence methods and technology to help clients solve business problems. Before joining DecisionPath, Bill spent 23 years in a progression of supply chain management and IT positions with consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies ranging from small start-ups to $1 billion divisions of multi-billion dollar global companies. His supply chain management background includes both staff planning and analysis roles and line management roles. He has experience solving a wide range of common CPG problems, including:
Bill's IT background spans business analyst, subject matter expert, power user, project manager, and IT director roles. He has successfully implemented packaged software and managed several process/data improvement efforts:
Bill has written articles on topics including business intelligence, operations analytics, business performance management, and supply chain management for DM Review, APICS Magazine, and TDWI Flashpoint. He has an MBA from Benedictine University, a Master of Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University, and a BS in mathematics from Western Illinois University. Bill holds Certified Fellow in Production & Inventory Management (CFPIM) certification from APICS and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. David Bloom – Director of Commercial Consulting David leads DecisionPath’s Commercial Consulting group, which delivers business intelligence (BI), data warehousing (DW), and performance management solutions to private sector clients. He has over 20 years of BI/DW consulting experience, during which he has focused on BI strategy, road mapping, requirements, architecture, and program management. Working with commercial and public sector clients, his experience includes using BI to meet business challenges in such areas as:
In addition to his BI/DW experience, David has led various IT consulting initiatives that improved client capabilities in data management, system life cycle development processes, data modeling, and business case development. Prior to joining DecisionPath, he was the BI/DW consulting practice leader for American Management Systems (AMS) and Wipro – both global leaders in IT consulting. David is also certified instructor for The Data Warehouse Institute (TDWI) and teaches various courses in BI/DW fundamentals, life cycle methodology, requirements gathering, and data modeling. He has also been a conference presenter at DAMA International, AGA, and FedNet., and he has published articles for the Business Intelligence Journal, DAMA Journal, and AMS Insight magazine. David has a B.S. degree in Information Systems and Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. David McIntire – Director of Federal Consulting David is an experienced information technology consulting professional. He has worked with many leading government agencies to help them develop solutions in the areas of:
David has specialized experience in large system integration projects including business intelligence, data warehousing, and Oracle ERP implementations. He also has experience in large software development projects, both as a project manager and a developer. David is also expert in implementing earned value management systems (EVMS) and the Capability Maturity Model (CMM). David’s BI/DW experience spans the entire project spectrum. He has helped several organizations develop business cases to justify initial BI/DW investments. This involved interviewing stakeholders to develop business requirements, conducting high-level source system analysis, creating cost-benefits analysis, and presenting the findings to senior management. He also developed pragmatic program plans, recommending realistic implementation timelines and specifying the critical linkages of the BI/DW implementation with the related ERP implementation. David has also managed BI/DW projects and has served in numerous development roles. He has knowledge of the leading front-end and data extractions tools. David has an MBA from The George Washington University, with a concentration in the management of science, technology and innovation, and a B.S. in Business from Virginia Tech, with concentrations in decision support systems and production and operations management.
