Steve has written for many business journals and magazines, including Strategic Finance, Business Trends Quarterly, Business Intelligence Journal, and Information Management (previously, DM Review). With Nancy Williams, he is co-author of The Profit Impact of Business Intelligence (Elsevier/Morgan Kaufman Publishing, 2006). Steve is also co-developer of the BI Pathway method and a judge for the yearly Best Practices competition sponsored by The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI), the BI industry’s premier educational organization.

During his career in industry, Steve has held positions in general management, program management, operations, business development, marketing, financial management, systems engineering, and cost analysis. He has an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, and a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Maryland.
